Agent Bunny is a 2-week team project for an introductory course on Mechanical System Design.
The main objective for the project was to design and fabricate a battery-powered mechanical robot from scratch that could emulate a rabbit in climbing a 3-meter long, 30-degree inclined plane in less than 1 minute.
The engineering challenge is two-fold:
1. To design a linkage system that, once powered, can simulate a rabbit's natural gait.
2. To analyze the physics behind the challenge and design a drive train that appropriately balance the system's need for speed and torque.
For details on how our team tackled the problem, please refer to our engineering project report.
Materials: plywood, duron, acrylic
Processes: Linkage design, drive train design, laser cutting
