FOREWORD

One of the greatest delights of my Stanford career came from stumbling upon the Stanford Product Realization Lab, a multi-site teaching facility where more than 1000 Stanford undergraduate, graduate, and professional school students “discover the power to create the future” each year.

Throughout graduate school, I spent 20+ hours each week at the aforementioned lab, teaching design philosophy, prototyping techniques, and manufacturing processes.
